Baroque Era Dates
History exams can be a challenge to study for. There are a lot of little details to memorize and one of those are dates. There are a number of ways to be successful in this area and I hope to bring lots of resources to help you with this.
Starting with some classic flashcards. The first set of cards include the important dates that revolve around the Baroque Era, the composers' birth and deaths and composition dates for the required listening.

How to Use:
Print the page with the card dates on the front and the page with the blank ones on the back. This will allow you to use them like true flashcards and fill in the information on the back. It's always best if you can write the information rather than just read it. The act of writing will help you log the information in your short-term memory and, then with more practice, eventually long-term. If you're a teacher, consider laminating these with dry erase laminating sheets. They'll last longer and can be re-used again and again.
There is an answer sheet for reference. I've placed the very basic information. Feel free to add more details should you wish. If you struggle with memorization, I do recommend keeping things simple at first though. Maybe even print these a 2nd time, adding more information once you recognize the date.
The next set of flashcards are focused on the composer's life. These include important life dates regarding workplaces and big moves. I've only included dates for Bach and Handel because you're not required to know the biography of Vivaldi if you're using these to study for your RCM 9 exam.
Stay tuned for some big exciting news coming! It's going to be a game changer for your history lesson and exam prep!
