Play WIth Passion, learn with joy

Music Lessons

Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember! I started piano lessons at just three years old through the Music for Young Children program and continued my musical journey through the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) curriculum. My passion for piano led me to Redeemer University, where I majored in piano performance —deepening my love for both playing and teaching. With over 20 years of full-time teaching experience, I’m now an RCM Certified Teacher in piano, theory, history, and harmony for all levels up to ARCT. My teaching approach is interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student, ensuring that every lesson is both educational and enjoyable. I believe that learning music should be fun, inspiring, and empowering —no matter your age or skill level!

What age should my child be?

We currently take on students ages 6 to adult. For students under 6, we highly recommend the program 'Music For Young Children'. This play-based curriculum is designed for parent and student interaction to help students build a good foundation and preparation for private lessons.

What curriculum do you use?

Beginner students will use a variety of methods depending on age and learning style. Curriculums can vary from Music for Little Mozarts (young beginners), Alfred's Premier Series, Piano Adventures and the Synergy Method. After approximately level 2B, students transition into the RCM curriculum. Exams are optional, but highly recommended.

Performance opportunities

Students will be encouraged to perform in regular music festivals and exams. These are optional and highly recommended. Teachers will make recommendations based on student level and family goals.

In-Home Lessons - what do I need?

If you're interested in having the teacher come to you, you will need to have a quiet area free from distractions. You will also need a piano or full-size keyboard with pedals. If you're not sure which piano or keyboard, message us for recommendations. Books will also be required and recommended by the teacher. These are currently offered in the GTA area - specifically the South/West side. Not sure if you're in the area? Pop us a message with your approximate address.

Online Lessons - what do I need?

Depending on the type of lesson you sign up for - all students will require a quiet area free from distraction and a high speed internet connection. Lessons are done via Google Meets or FaceTime. Piano students will need an acoustic piano or full size keyboard with pedals. Teachers will help guide proper set up with minimal tech.

Books

All students will be required to purchase books. Teachers will recommend during the first lesson and then send links to purchase or, when possible, will pick up and add to your next invoice. Prices vary - starting at $15.99CAD. Most piano students will be required to have practical book and theory/workbook. Theory and history students will be required to have the workbook/textbook.

How much does it cost to sign up?

Price varies depending on lesson length & travel distance. Prices begin at $45/30 minutes.

When will I get charged?

E-transfers and cash (for in-person) accepted. Credit card transactions available with a fee. Payments due on or before the first lesson of the month.

How do I cancel?

Notify us before the next invoice date. Students must complete the final month paid for. There are no refunds.
